Lets talk waxing!

Ok so for some reason we tend to think that beauty is pain...or is that something I just think? Hmm

This weekend I decided to venture out and try waxing myself....yes! exactly what you're thinking is what I did...I know right! Can you say CRAZY.

So for a while I was having my wax done professionally, but that all came to an end very quickly when I had children. Damn that guilt factor, it sucks! Then my girlfriend started doing it for me and that was great! But let me tell you, you need to get over embarrassment real quick when it comes right down to it. So why am I doing it myself you ask? Well that's because she selfishly :) got herself pregnant!! I KNOW the NERVE Right! :) hahahaaa

Well ladies and if there are guys out there reading this be prepared....doing your own at home wax, alone, with no other hands to help you, WOW not easy.

First let me tell you the product I used. Nair Moroccan Argan Oil waxing strips.

Let's see, what do I think about it? Amazeballs! For a store bought brand, a non professional wax, it's a really good home waxing kit. It works on short hair (yes only short!!!) and it keeps the skin smooth after.

Now on someone who wants to do this in the privacy of their own home, you honestly may want some help. It'll be that much easier for you in the long run. For those of you who decide, "I don't need help! I can do this all on my own!" Hahahahaaa ya be prepared NOT EASY.

First thing I recommend is definitely do not use the whole strip all at once because there is absolutely no way that you can pull that whole strip off in one go without wanting to scream from the top of your lungs and have next door think that something is happening to you and they need to call the police.

Cut each strip in tiny strips and use it that way. So effective and you don't use to many at a time which is another great thing! Uh hello multiple use!!!.....I mean really how do you go wrong for 40 sheets at $14.95. You can't!!! The one kit is going to last for a few uses, now who doesn't like a bargain out there? I know I do!

I personally purchased mine at Walmart here in Canada, but you can buy it at Target, Shoppers Drug Mart which is equivalent to a CVS or Walgreens if you're in the US, if you can't find it at your local Walmart. You can also get your instructions or specific types of Nair products that you should use for specific areas at www.naircare.ca / www.naircare.com

So, does this mean we're going to be nice and smooth for summer? Hmm I'll never tell :)
