June Favourites

Hello My Loves!!

I can not believe how fast this year is going!

We're already very much into July and I thought it would be a great time to talk about the wonderful products that I have been loving and using a lot this month.

I have been using them for a while now and can thoroughly say that I am very please with these.

So... let's get started!!

Milani Brow Fix...
The first product that I'm going to talk about is the Milani Brow fix. Now I know that I mentioned last month about another Milani brow product, but girl trust me when I tell you that it's AMAZING.

The Milani Brow Fix palette comes with 2 brow colours depending on your shade (I chose the light #01 palette) and 1 highlight for under your brow bone in your arch.

It also comes with a small angled brush to fill in your brows, a small shadow brush to use for the highlight colour and a small tweezer for those stray hair that you need to get out in a pinch!
The product really makes your brows look like they haven't been filled in at all and so natural looking.

Model In A Bottle Original Formula...
The next product is Model in a Bottle. This is the only product from all of them that is fairly new BUT I'm super happy with it and I've been using it for a few weeks now.
It's a setting spray that leaves you with a matte finish and worry free that your face makeup will rub off.

It has a very floral scent that doesn't last very long. You need to wait a few minutes to allow it to set and dry before you open your eyes.

I'm telling you I am so impressed by it I can not say anything else. Try it and see what I mean.

The next two products are face brushes. If you're like me and are a HUGE makeup junkie or are just OBSESSED! Then I'm sure you've heard of Real Techniques.

For those of you who haven't, the brand was created by a makeup artist / Beauty YouTube personality from the UK by the name of Samantha Capman or one part of two who make up the face of Pixiwoo on YouTube.

The two face brushes that I'm referring to are the Buffing Brush and the Expert Face Brush.
These two brushes have changed the way I apply makeup forever.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush...
The Buffing Brush is used with a liquid, cream or even powder foundation depending on what type of look you're going for. It really buffs the foundation into your skin and leaves you with a flawless look.

The Buffing Brush can only be purchased in the Core Collection from Real Techniques.

It's a really dense brush with some movement perfect for that full coverage look.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush...
The Expert Face Brush is used for blending a cream or liquid foundation. It's an ultra-firm brush that really allows you to blend that product into your skin.

Since we're on the subject of make-up brushes I have one more that I want to mention.

M460 Flat Contour Brush...
I bought the Flat Contour Brush because to be honest when you first start out contouring it doesn't come natural.
You need to be careful not to make it to wide and not to come down to far.

This brush allows for that slim line as a basic start to define what you already know you want.

The Balm Cosmetics Mary-Lou Manizer...
This has to be one of my all time favourite products. It's called Mary-Lou Manizer by the balm cosmetics.
This products is like heaven in a little compact. It's an amazing highlighter that gives you that perfect glow.

You can also use it as a shadow or a shimmer if you wanted to.

I personally use it only as a cheekbone hightlight, my cupids bow, a little on my chin or under my lips (this is all to accentuate specific areas of your face that you want)

The Mary-Lou Manizer goes on so smooth with very little product and it will last you forever!!!

I was in Shoppers Drug Mart a couple of months back and I have started to realize that now that I've hit 30....UGH! I need to start really preventing sagging skin, wrinkles and so many other things that happen when you start hitting anything over 20! (I miss those days!)

Reversa Skin Firming Gel-Cream...
I picked up this new face lotion that you use both day and night and it's called Reversa skin firming gel-cream.
This product it's a really really nice cream that does not make you feel like you have a pound of face cream on (you know what I'm talking about)

I have actually started to see a difference in my face the last couple of month, and I'm sure by 6 months I will really notice a change.

Believe me girl you need to tighten that skin now and always always take care of your skin from without.

You can never start to early to take care of your skin because at the end of the day that's the first thing you see in the morning and the last thing you see at night.

If it's something my mom taught me was always take care of your face even if you're half asleep. To this day I can't go to bed no matter how tired or bombed I am with makeup on. (You know what I'm talking about Raccoon eyes!) LOL

The last makeup product that I'm going to mention is the L'oreal true match crayon corrector
Now I am personally not a face of cream concealers because I feel like they cream and I'm sorry but under eyes need to look perfect because if they don't...you look old!

That said I do really like this product and I have them in the 4 lightest shades.

I don't however use them as concealers, I use them for highlighting and contouring!

YUP!!! It works. They go on nice and smooth easily blend-able and if you want a softer contour you can make it so that it's barely even their.

Last but now least; this is one of my all time favourite nail polishes. I am a true O.P.I girl always have been.

My favourite colour is Alpine Snow. Now I know for many people they really don't like white on themselves or think that it looks like white-out or that it should be used only for a French Tip.
Well you're wrong! White nail polish although very in now has always been a staple colour for me.

The thing with O.P.I Alpine Snow is that it's not a loose nail polish. You only need two coats for it to look perfect. (which if you wear white you know that's soooo important and difficult to do)

Phewwwww......

I know it seems like I mentioned a lot of products this month but if you really look at it I haven't. These are just something's that you would normally use at one time if you were applying a full face of makeup.

Have you tried any of them? What do you think? Let me know any of your favourite products.

2014 Spring and Summer Trends

It seems to me that trends are always the baseline of all things when you're talking about fashion or style.

There always seems to be parts of trends that I for one have never been a huge fan of but for the most part I do tend to be a camilleon when it comes to what suites my style and what doesn't.

This year there is a HUGE trend with patterns. All kinds of patterns; flowers, shapes, animal you name it.. I personally am totally for all the animal print I'm a big fan.

Flowers, though not my thing, I am trying to be more open to it but it's just so hard to change my opinion of them.

The pleather short is a really hot ticket item this summer and wow is it ever flattering. I for one don't normally wear shorts but I would totally rock this style if I did.

Crop tops! I love them and really wish I could wear them, but being a mom I think that some things are a little risqué. I think that if you put a long shirt underneath you can totally wear that top.
Eventually if you want to show off your after baby body then you can just remove that long shirt and wear that crop top as it's meant to.

There are so many more fashion trends this year alone for woman that would take me to long to list and talk about. So instead i'll just give you a quick little run down of some;

Coral, tangelo, blush, bubble gum, emerald, pine, deep sky, turquoise, canary, these are just some of the colours this season
Floor skimming skirts
Floral Prints
White (which is the must have colour)
Sexy slips
Flounced Skirts
Heavy Metalics
Crop top
Perforated Fabrics
Palazzo Pants

There are so many other trends for the season that I just can't get into, but I'm sure that these trends are great for the younger girls.

The Colour trends aren't only for clothing either, their for nails and makeup too!!

However I must say the one trend that's been around a while that is both an amazing accessory and also a great touch to any outfit is the Fedora.
I personally am very found of it. Reminds me of growing up as a little girl watching my dad figure out which one works with the suit that he was wearing at the time.

Now Men's fashion... I'm am not understanding why we went all the way back to 'White Man Can't Jump' days of the 90's.

I mean there are a few nice trends like the wayfarer glasses which are a personal favourite of mine. I think that they are flattering for both men and woman, their trendy and stylish at the same time.

Another favourite of mine blazers. It seems that blazers are being paired with everything this season and I for one am loving it.

The rest of the seasons trends are:

The fleece short with draw strings
Tank tops with characters on them
Print short sleeve collard shirts
Tropical print cotton shirt (Hawaiian style...aloha)
Geeky 90's era
High top runners
Boat shoes
Canvas sneakers
Fanny packs
Denim shorts

Last but very not least of the trend is the patterned MC Hammer pants.

Sorry If I seem to be somewhat of a non trend setter, but to me I am partial to the very classic man's European style.

I think a man in a nice suit, or a pair of great jeans paired with a nice sweater are much more effective when it comes to looks than that very out there style that is hot this season.

What are your thoughts about this seasons trends?
